Dr. Thomas Hayth began working in healthcare as a technician in 1990 at Memorial Medical Center. He worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 19 years including teaching respiratory care for six years. He obtained a BSN and MSN through the Roadrunner nursing program here at NMSU. He worked as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for three years before starting the DNP nursing program at NMSU. He obtained DNP in 2018. He has been teaching nursing in the NMSU School of Nursing since 2015. 

He subscribes to the philosophy that a relaxed learning environment can help students reduce stress and feel safe to learn and perform new skills.  “If you look for it, there is learning in almost any situation”.
