Beatrice Ekechukwu

Dr. Beatrice Ekechukwu, DNP, MSN, RN, is a College Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, New Mexico State University (NMSU). She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Walden University, Minneapolis, and is a compact-licensed registered nurse in the States of Texas and New Mexico.
Dr. Ekechukwu is recognized for her strong ethical principles, professional integrity, and leadership that fosters collaboration and motivation among colleagues and students. Her expertise includes healthcare development with a focus on patient wellbeing, safety, and improved outcomes. She has extensive knowledge in the integration of emerging healthcare trends into nursing education.
Her research interests focus on Geriatrics, particularly the prevention and management of hypertension among older adults. Through this work, she seeks to advance strategies that improve quality of life, promote independence, and address disparities in aging populations.
As an educator, researcher, and practitioner, Dr. Ekechukwu is committed to preparing the next generation of nurses to lead with competence, compassion, and evidence-based practice.
