Welcome Aggie Nursing Alumni!

The School of Nursing is proud of the fact that we have a large contingent of NMSU Aggie nurses delivering vital healthcare services in southwestern New Mexico, throughout New Mexico and Texas, and across the nation. We are continuing to educate new generations of nurses who become leaders and expert partners in healthcare teams, setting new standards of excellence. We know that Aggie nurses are making a difference every day in their communities.

Keep Up to Date

Over the past two years, the NMSU School of Nursing has expanded enrollment in its BSN program at the Las Cruces and Alamogordo campuses in order to meet the demand for nurses and the growing pool of highly qualified applicants. We are now accepting 64 new traditional BSN students twice year, in addition to 16 second degree ‘Road Runner’ students, to the main campus program. We have grown the BSN program at NMSU-Alamogordo, admitting 24 BSN students every Fall semester and our NMSU-Grants program continues to thrive.

Enrollment in the NMSU graduate programs has also expanded. We currently offer a MSN in Nursing Administration, as well as the DNP degree with two specialty tracks for applicants with a BSN degree (FNP and PMHNP) and a MSN-DNP option for APRNs seeking to earn a clinical doctorate. Nurse practitioners looking to certify in an additional specialty can complete the education and training needed to take the FNP or PMHNP certification exam in 1 year through our post graduate APRN certificate program. For more information on our graduate programs, please see our academic programs webpages or contact the Graduate Advisor, Karen Pech at kpech@nmsu.edu or 575-646-7770.
