Evangelia Falkner

College Assistant Professor
Professor Falkner's career in medicine began while working as an EMT during nursing school. She graduated from New York University with her BSN and began a critical care nurse fellowship program in Medical ICU. After 6 years in MICU Professor Falkner went on to obtain her MSN in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. She has practiced as a midwife since 2012 providing full scope care in her community. After relocating from New York in 2019, Professor Falkner continues to serve her community as a midwife in addition to teaching full time in the BSN program. In an effort to have a bigger impact on perinatal health, Professor Falkner is currently working to complete her Psychiatric Behavioral Health NP and DNP at here at NMSU.
