Jacqueline Kaiser

Dr. Jacqueline Kaiser is a dedicated nurse anesthesiologist with over 15 years of clinical experience and a strong commitment to advancing healthcare in rural and underserved communities. A proud native of New Mexico, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Mexico, her Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Central Connecticut University, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from New Mexico State University (NMSU).
Dr. Kaiser’s DNP project focused on implementing a surgical safety checklist for in-office procedures, highlighting her dedication to improving patient safety and care efficiency. Her professional interests include advancing patient safety, optimizing outcomes in perioperative care, and integrating culturally responsive practices into anesthesia care.
Beyond clinical and academic roles, Dr. Kaiser actively contributes to her profession through leadership and advocacy. She actively serves on the New Mexico Board of Nursing, working to foster policies that prioritize public safety, support advancements in nursing practice, and enhance statewide healthcare outcomes.
Currently serving as a College Associate Professor at NMSU, Dr. Kaiser is passionate about preparing the next generation of nurse anesthesiologists. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes active engagement, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice, with a strong focus on addressing the challenges of rural healthcare. Dr. Kaiser is passionate about empowering students to become leaders who can improve access and quality of care for underserved populations.
