Nikki has been a nursing leader for over 20 years. She received her MSN with a Nurse Executive focus, and her DNP, in Nurse Executive Organizational Leadership. Through her leadership, she has developed successful Cardiology Practices throughout rural southwest New Mexico. She created the first Level III Trauma Center in Dona Ana County, followed by assisting in other achievements in Dona Ana County to include; the development of a Level IV trauma center, Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and a Total Joint Program. Her most recent accomplishments were participating in the Covid to Home project during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Covid testing clinics, and providing COVID vaccines for over 20,000 people in her local community. Nikki developed her love for education when she developed the trauma center and became a Trauma Nurse Core Course instructor.
