Professor Sharice Flores has a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Eastern New Mexico University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New Mexico State University, where she graduated with honors as a member of the Roadrunner Cohort. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Planning and Interpretation with an emphasis in Environmental Law and a minor in Environmental Ethics from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt. Her goal is to educate nurses who not only possess clinical competency in skills, knowledge, and clinical judgment but also embody compassion, uphold the ethical standards of the profession, incorporate reflective practices into their work, and have the capacity to care for themselves, their classmates, coworkers, and patients with resiliency and self-efficacy. Professor Flores strives to include wellness and resiliency practices into nursing education. She also has a passion for curriculum design and development.
